There are several options for finding doctors. You can select all the doctors in a state in the USA or all doctors outside the USA. You can also find doctors by entering a full or partial name. The name can match on an organization (hospital, clinic, doctor's practice, etc.) or on a person's name (a doctor or a nurse who is listed as an information contact). |

There has been a lot of information about Lasers and Intense Pulse Light therapies in the media in the last several years. They are used for a multitude of purposes including the treatment of port wine stains, pigmented birthmarks, tattoos, spider veins, rosacea, etc. One of the reasons for all the hoopla is that, one, they work better than anything else, and two, in the hands of a proficient doctor they don't usually damage the surface of the skin, so scarring and blistering is minimized.
We have one of the largest online referral databases of doctors who treat vascular and pigmented lesions and other skin conditions with laser and IPL therapy. Our database is simply a place for you to start researching. Be a good consumer and check references and use referrals. Here is an informative message from Linda Shannon of the Vascular Birthmarks Foundation on picking a doctor.
Our Newsgroup member Kathryn has this to say: I recommend interviewing doctors before making a choice. They will have different approaches on pain management. Our doctor treats most of her pediatric patients under general anesthesia at the children's hospital. Some doctors do not have hospital privileges and only treat their patients in-office; some have access to one laser, others to multiple laser machines; and, of course, some doctors are a pleasure to work with while others leave you wondering why they are in the people business at all.
