Celebrities with PWS
(Editor's note: We have not been able to personally verify some of these so if you have any evidence for or against please let us know. And of course we welcome submissions!)
Tina Turner: (PWS on shoulder)
Richard Gere: Actor. Several of his early and more recent films incidentally showcase a prominant pigmented patch on his left upper back. The appearance and location of this lesion are consistant with a Becker's nevus.
Billy Corgan: of "Smashing Pumpkins" (PWS from hand to elbow)
Mikhail Gorbachev: (PWS on scalp)
Christina Aguilera: Christina has a tiny birthmark on her lower back (off to the left, if you're looking at her back).
Catherine Zeta Jones: Actress. Birthmark on left shin. (You'll need to scroll down to the end of the page or do a search on her name).
Matt Luke: Dodger's baseball player. Had skin grafts for facial birthmarks.
Tempest Bledsoe: (Vanessa) of The Cosby Show (PWS on arm - hard to see)
Joshua Jackson: Actor. Has a little red birthmark next to his belly button.
Antonio Sabato Jr.: Actor. He has birthmarks at the bottom of his right pec and his right arm.
Paul Berendt: Politician (Chairman of the Democratic Party for Washington state). Has pws on his forehead, around left eye, and slightly on left cheek.
Drew Bees, New Orleans Saints: Quarterback (small facial PWS). Few players in NFL history have made as immediate an impact in his first year with a new franchise as Brees accomplished in New Orleans in 2006, as the veteran quarterback rewrote the club's record books, led the team to its most successful season and helped lift the spirits of an entire community in the process.
www.skinema.com: This website chronicles many "skin problems" of celebrities from a dermatological standpoint. It's run by Dr. Vail Reese. Many of the links above go to this website. (Contributed by newsgroup member Natascha)
